Who's the District Attorney?

The District Attorney is the top prosecutor for the Augusta Judicial Circuit (Burke, Columbia, and Richmond Counties). The DA reviews investigations made by law enforcement and determines whether the law has been violated. The DA has discretion to decide which charges are most appropriate based on the evidence. If the DA believes charges should be filed, then it is his job to prove the case at trial or resolve it by other means. The DA also makes recommendations to the judge on which punishment best fits the crime. The DA should demonstrate integrity, and ensure equality and fair treatment in the justice system. If you want a District Attorney who will listen to you and make SMART decisions, vote Jared Williams on November 3, 2020!
